Few Pointers on Building a Positive Classroom
- Daily Shout-Outs or Compliments - Encouraging one another, acknowledging birthdays, Teachers allow students a turn to become a helper for a day and serve the other children in the class, and also praise the children on good work and good behavior.
- Weekly/Monthly Class Meeting- Short meetings with students, staff, and parents. Whether it's a brief meeting in the morning at drop off time, or if it's at pickup time, just to gather and give updates on classroom rules, events, and open suggestions on what parents would like to expect and allow children to express how they feel and hear what they have learned.
- Shared Goals- Treating the children for their hard work, continue to praise them and push/encourage them to keep going with positive manner, with any questions they may have to always reach out and ask. Prepare for a classroom party to celebrate for being on same page and focused.
